About Us

Occasions hold regular fun social evenings designed to provide stimulation and new opportunities for local women: a women's group for the 21st century.

Occasions is a social group for women and is based in Pyrford. We are an independent, non-profit-making group run by local volunteers. We aim to provide something for local women of all ages, by offering a wide range of events and outings. There is no membership: come to one event or all of them!

Occasions began in September 2004 when a group of like-minded women got together to offer a wider range of events than those traditionally available locally.

Occasions Chair, Deborah Oates, says:

"We try to cater for a wide variety of tastes over a year's calendar, but all events should be both fun and itneresting. Over the years, we have enjoyed all kinds of events, from craft activities to motivational speakers, dancing, wine tasting and even rock climbing! Occasions events offer great value for money, and provide a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with friends. It's also a way to capture some very important 'me time' for busy women. If you haven't tred it yet, come along and we will give you a warm welcome."
