Get More Involved

The Occasions team would welcome more people being involved: from simply chatting to friends about the events, to helping out every now and then, to being a member of the team.

Here are a few suggestions: (Click on the text links below to find out more!)

Bring along friends to Occasions - As simple as this sounds, this is so valued - as often people do like to be reminded of events and go along with others they know. Maybe offer to buy friends tickets on-line ?

Tell others about the group   - Having ‘ambassadors’ throughout the local communities (eg playschool, evening classes, church) keeps the profile of the group high and encourages new people to give Occasions a try. Can you see of new place to display a poster or keep a spare calendar in your handbag to handout ?

Be an extra pair of hands  – jobs such as helping set up, or clear away at an event.

Help organise themed events – In the 2010 calendar we are considering bell ringing and belly dancing… would you like to be part of a small events team that organises one of these events? Or perhaps you would prefer an ad-hoc task (e.g. auditing the end of year finances)

Suggest ideas for events  – if you see something that you think would be a fun and interesting evening for ladies, let us know!

There are many roles within the team (eg finance, admin, marketing and organising the events), we operate in a friendly, open and efficient style.
